There is currently no state or federal law saying you must be a dealer to sell your personal guns. You are required to follow all state and federal laws about age requirements and being a resident. Purchaser must be at least 18 years of age to purchase a rifle or shotgun and 21 to purchase a handgun. Federal law also restricts selling a firearm to a person who is not a resident of the state in which you live. It is suggested you check a person’s driver’s license to make sure of age and state residence.

I’m coming to the show as a customer, can I bring a gun in to sell or trade?

You sure can. Just like you would do at a gun shop. We have security at the door to check your gun and put a tie strap on it to secure it and let others know it has been checked. REMEMBER, MAKE SURE YOU GUNS ARE UNLOADED AND YOU DO NOT HAVE ANY LOOSE AMMUNITION WITH YOU.

I have a CONCEALED CARRY PERMIT. Can I carry it in the show?

SAFETY FIRST is our answer, and supporters of the Second Amendment and those of us in the firearm-related industry do not need bad publicity. We ask that you unload your firearm, get it checked at the front door and either leave your ammunition in the car, or security can hold them while you walk the show. Our number one concern is safety first. These safety rules are followed closely by our facility insurance underwriter. These are the same rules for our dealers, and our request for securing of CCL firearms is an extension of that policy. Police officers are allowed to carry a loaded weapon but are required to not take it out of the holster unless necessary in the line of duty. If a police officer is coming to the show to purchase a holster or anything else for their weapon that requires it being taken out of a holster then unload it before entering.

Are purchases subject to sales tax?

Yes, all purchases are subject to sales tax.

How do I get a Concealed Carry Permit?

First, you will have to attend a gun safety class taught by NRA certified instructors.  Once you attend the class you will get a certificate.   At that time you need to contact your local sheriff’s office who can guide through the rest of the process. There will be vendors at the event who will be able to assist you with all your licensing needs and questions.

Where do I sign up to be a vendor for this or other shows?
